Brookhaven Needs You

January 19th, 2015

There’s a lot going on in the city of Brookhaven right now. Being a newer city in Georgia (established in 2012), it is wonderful to see such progress already taking place. From the new development at the Brookhaven MARTA station to updating our parks, Brookhaven is on the move to improve. December 2nd, 2014

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! December marks the beginning of holiday celebrations and decorations. One of the best parts of this season, in our opinion, is the lights! There is no better way to dazzle up the night than with some holiday lights! Every year, several Atlanta Christmas light shows take place in and around metro Atlanta. Whether you want to walk around the glimmering lights or enjoy them from the warmth of you car, one of these Atlanta light shows is sure to make your season bright.

8 Quick Commercial Chores

August 22nd, 2014

8 Quick “Commercial Chores”. We found this amazing article on Houzz, a fantastic website which helps people “find the right design and construction professionals” and “connect with others who have been there too.” Houzz is a great reference when looking for ideas when decorating or for someone to help!

This article is all about the dreaded six letter word – Chores.

We don’t like to do them, however we must. Most of us like to relax with our favorite show after a long day, putting off the chores until tomorrow…

Not anymore. Increase your productivity while enjoying your favorite show. Whether you are preparing your house to sell or maintaining your home while it is on the market, or if you just moved in – do your cleaning and chores during the commercials.

Here are 8 Quick “Commercial Chores” you can start doing in your home tonight!

Graur Razvan Ionut

Graur Razvan Ionut

  1. Take Out The Trash. It does not take very long to walk the bags out to the street. You can probably empty the downstairs trash cans and do the recycling in one commercial break.
  2. “Take Your Things To Your Room.” How many times did our mothers have to say this? Probably more than we can remember. Use one commercial break to take all the things laying around the house to where they belong.
  3. Clean All the Mirrors. Take a quick run to all the bathrooms and mirrors in the house and give them a good rub down. This is a fast and easy chore that needs to be done daily… in some houses!
  4. Vacuum A Bedroom or Two. We put off the vacuuming until the end of the week or sometimes even longer. You can knock out a couple rooms at a time and by end of the night, your whole house looks fresh and clean.
  5. Do the Dishes. Watching a show after dinner with the family? While the commercials are running, get the pots and pans washed and put away.
  6. Sort the Mail. Some days, you get tons of junk mail. Others, you get sweet cards and notes. Take a commercial or two and go through the mail, throw out the junk and keep the good stuff.
  7. Fix Tomorrow’s Lunch. If you have children, you probably like to send them with lunch or a snack for school. Take a commercial break to make one lunch. On the next commercial break, make another and so on until you’re done. If you don’t have kids, make your lunch for tomorrow. That way, you’re not spending extra cash at the cafeteria at work.
  8. Pick Out What To Wear. This is mainly for the women and girls out there. It saves SO MUCH time when you know exactly what you’re going to wear the next day. Pick out your outfit for the next day, make sure it’s all clean and pressed, and put it in the front of your closet.
